Back to back wins for ever improving Oaks
RUGBY at Knole Paddock is a bit like waiting for a bus at the moment. You wait ages for one win and two come along at once.
After last week's superb 37-17 triumph at Purley John Fisher, Oaks eased any relegation worries with a confidence building victory against Lewes.

OFFLOADING: Action from Sevenoaks' clash with Lewes on Saturday
Captain Tim Golds said: "I was pleased with the performance, but more excited in the fact that we only played to about 60 per cent of our potential. We've got more to give and the team is up for the challenge."
It was Lewes who started the game stronger on Saturday and Sevenoaks had to withstand a lot of pressure for the first 20 minutes of the game.
The visitors could, and perhaps should, have scored but dropped the ball over the line to let Oaks off the hook. They made their pressure tell in the end but only with a penalty.
Sevenoaks absorbed a lot of the pressure and the defensive line was very good. Ben James became a casualty of putting his body on the line with a badly broken nose and had to leave the field, allowing big Phil Wyatt to join the team for his last game before travelling abroad.
Oaks then managed to get their hands on the ball and looked dangerous in attack. James Garcia finished off some great attacking phases to score wide out in the corner. The conversion from George Bantin headed straight through the posts, which was then followed by a big cheer from the Paddock crowd.
Sevenoaks then dominated the next 15 minutes and, after a missed penalty chance, it was James Garcia who picked up his second try of the game in the right hand corner, following some inspirational play from Thierry Walker. The conversion was missed.
Lewes, to their credit, then came back at the Oaks and the hosts defended hard before conceding a penalty just before the end of the half to make the score 12-6 at the break.
The second-half started fairly evenly and there were good bits of play from both sides. For Oaks, Guy McLauglin and Mark Ridout secured a strong position at the scrum and also around the fringes of the rucks, and young Ben Fuller and Ed Alteirac teamed up well in the lineout.
Oaks looked a better unit with their big lads on the pitch and with the likes of Garcia, Jimmy Stewart and Phil Wyatt on your team it makes a difference.
And indeed it did make a difference as Phil Wyatt scored two solo tries smashing through several defenders on his way to the line to make the game safe.
A late injury to Robbie Unwin meant that Sam McCorry made his debut for the team, a day before his 18th birthday. With youngsters like McCorry around it keeps the old boys on their toes!
McCorry has come up through the junior section of the club and was academy captain last year, and it shows that the future is bright at Sevenoaks.
On the final whistle Lewes did finally cross the line from a pushover on the last phase of the game, but it was in vain as the final score finished 26-16 to Oaks.
Golds immediately looked ahead to this weekend's clash with high-flying Old Reigatian.
"This week is a huge game for us, we are playing second in the league and are all looking forward to the encounter," he said."We are not here to make it easy for anyone visiting the Paddock and we are playing with a new found confidence. We want to win."
