No ticket? Then stay away from JLS gig at Margate
FANS of boy band JLS are being warned not to turn up to Friday and Saturday’s sell-out Winter Garden gigs unless they have tickets.
Thanet Leisureforce bosses have been working with police to beef up security inside and outside the Margate venue after chaotic scenes when the chart-topping band switched on the Christmas lights in Birmingham and crowds of about 20,000 fans turned up.

The seated concerts this Friday and Saturday are sold out on both nights. People
who turn up without tickets will not be let into the Winter Gardens and risk being moved on by police.
Manager Paul Palmer said: “Please don’t turn up if you haven't got a ticket. All tickets and bags will be checked.
“We have additional stewards inside the hall as well as crowd barriers.
“We have been working closely with the police. They are happy with all our procedures.”
The promoters of the JLS concerts at Margate Winter Gardens have advised fans not to purchase tickets being offered outside the venue – they may be forgeries and they will have no proof they are genuine until it is too late and they have lost their money.
The Winter Gardens have the facility to resell any genuine unwanted tickets, so fans are advised to apply to the venue.
Also, fans are advised not to buy any souvenirs, JLS T-shirts, programmes or similar also being offered outside the venue as these will be inferior imitations and forgeries. Possession of unofficial souvenirs, imitations and forgeries can result in prosecution.
Official souvenirs, T-shirts, sweatshirts and programmes are available only inside the Winter Gardens.
Only tickets bought from official outlets and from the Margate Winter Gardens will guarantee admission. Souvenirs bought outside the venue can legally be confiscated.
