A thrilling day for all
EYTHORNE Rovers held their annual six-a-side tournament on Sunday. More than 1,100 people attended to see 48 teams battle each other in six age groups.
The highlight was a thrilling penalty shoot-out in the under 16s, which saw the home club just lose out to Hythe Stars and Stripes on sudden death penalties. Thanks go to Aylsham and District Community Workshop Trust for again funding the trophies.
Winners and runners-up: under nine: Betteshanger A, Deal Town; under 10: Canterbury Eagles, Deal Town B; under 11: Dover Rangers A, Dover Rangers B; under 12: Sandwich Town, Galactico Blues; under 13: Canterbury City B, Canterbury Youth; under 16: Hythe Stars and Stripes, Eythorne Rovers. Fair Play Trophy: Hawkinge Youth under 10.
