FAMILY BUSINESS: Mandy Tolman is celebrating the first anniversary of Tollys GIBG20120430B-001_C
Mandy, 44, who has lived in Whitstable since she was eight, said: "Business hasn't been bad at all. It started to pick up in December when people realised we were here.
"It's definitely one of those shops where people come in, like it and go and tell others."

The shop is named after Colin, 54, who had the nickname Tolly at school.
Mandy said the recession-inspired trend for budget holidays, abroad and in the UK, had benefited the business.
She said: "As much as there is an outlay to start with, camping is an affordable way to holiday and it's fun, especially for the kids. Hopefully we're targeting a market that's growing."
Tollys is a family firm, with Mandy's daughter Libby, 16, and her parents Janet and Robin Pates, also working there.
Colin has been in the leisure industry for more than 20 years and sells caravans and motor homes in Essex during the week, joining his wife at the Whitstable shop at weekends.
Mandy added: "I couldn't do it without my parents and I can't thank the customers enough for their support.
"It's a dream come true for us to be running this business and for them to help along the way is amazing."
