Middle East trial for Margate defender

SAM GROOMBRIDGE will miss Margate's match at home to Wealdstone tomorrow night (Tuesday, 7.45pm) after securing an 11-day trial with a club in the Middle East.

A deal is on the cards for the defender who recently lost his full-time job in the UK.

Blues director Cliff Egan said: "This is a marvellous opportunity for Sam and of course we will not stand in his way."
