Maidstone co-managers quit club

The co-managers, who led Stones to Kent League and Ryman 1 titles, resigned following talks with chairman Paul Bowden-Brown.
He said: "It was with great regret that I have had to accept the resignation of Alan and Lloyd but after a long conversation, both managers felt they had taken this club as far as they could.
"I would like to place on record my sincere thanks for the wonderful job they have done over the years in taking our club to this level of football and I wish them every success in the future."
The days of big budgets at Maidstone are over and that makes Sittingbourne boss Gary Abbott one of the early favourites for the job, having worked wonders on a shoestring at Bourne Park.
