There will be workshops, stalls, competitions and kite stunts from 10am until 5pm on September 20 and 21.

Organised jointly by Margate Town Partnership and the Kite Society of Great Britain, flyers will be coming from the UK, Holland, Belgium, Spain, France, New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia.

Performers include father and son Bryan and Carl Wright of UK's Team Spectrum, with their dual line team ballet and Bryan's one man - three kites display.

Close Encounters, who perform aerial ballet to music and explain the basics of how to fly a kite, Les Aisles du Desire, a French stunt team and the Air Heads from the UK, who demonstrate Chinese dragon kites, long paper and silk kites with the heads of dragons.
