“Being a huge Lego fan, my son had his 9th Birthday party here - a Lego party no less!! He and 5 friends had a fantastic hour building models on base plates and then enjoyed a scrummy tea, finishing off by building their own mini-figure to take home in the party bag provided along with a lot of other goodies. Not only is this the only place I have ever come across to do Lego parties, but it was extremely good value for money and Helen, the owner, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Ten out of ten from us!”

“We needed to buy a present for a friend's son recently and thought this would be the best place - we weren't diaappointed. He loves Star Wars and Star Wars lego and they had a large selection of stuff including books and stickers books. We manage to get something he hadn't already seen and none of his friends had!”

“My son had his 7th birthday party here on 11th march and had a fantastic time, he and five friends loved every minute of it, they loved creating the lego scenes and making a minifigure at the end, the food was fab and the party bags went down well too.
Would highly recomend this for any lego mad child, so much better than mad chaotic playcentres!
He is going back soon for another friends party and really cant wait! ”

“My son had his eighth birthday party at Toys 'n Trends last Sunday and had a brilliant time. He and five mates got stuck into the fantastic array of lego pieces provided by Helen in the shop and made some brilliant creations. The parents got to have a go as well (and drink a lovely takeaway coffee from the Cafe next door), although our efforts were rightly derided by the kids! After an hour of extensive lego creation, the kids tucked into a great platter of freshly made food from the cafe and discuss all things lego, Doctor Who and Star Wars. All nicely rounded off by making their mini figure to with them along with their well thought out party bags to send them happily on their way. Helen was a brilliant host, her enthusiasm was infectious and as a parent it was so much more laid back than haring around a soft play area, the perfect Sunday morning party.
Anyone looking for something a bit different for a party and has a child with a severe lego habit, should look no further, cannot recommend the party and the shop itself highly enough.

“My son Tom took his friends here for his 11th birthday and had a fantastic time. Dad sat outside drinking coffee and reading his book in the October sun, whilst Tom and his friends were in Lego heaven. I only had to supply a cake and candles. The food was good and the kids had a great time, recieving a party bag with goodies and a minifigure they made themselves. Brilliant idea Helen. Thanks Hilary.”

“Just wanted to say how much fun my son Jack had at his recent 7th Birthday party at Helen's local Lego shop. The children had such a super time building their lego masterpieces, and the atmosphere was fun, traditional and focused. Everything just flowed so nicely, and the children enjoyed their Guessing Competition that Helen arranged. The party food was wonderfully catered, with a good variety of healthy food, presented in a fun fashion for the kids, followed by treats to munch & enjoy. All I had to do is provide the Birthday cake (!) - Helen even did the party bags for the children! All the children who came said what a wonderful party it was! "The Best Ever"!
The shop is such a cosy feeling place, inviting and bright, with a unique array of toys for children, fun, friendly, educational, traditional and with "hands on" Lego bits & bobs to choose. It is a refreshing change - in a world so often now over taken with computer games & electronics - this shop is a timeless classic! Thank you, Helen. from Fiona.”

“I've not been to a Lego party but have popped into the shop. Not just saying this as I'm a Tankerton Ward councillor, but I just think it's great there is a place to go where Lego pieces can be bought by weight! If only such a place existed when I was playing with Lego as a kid - great idea and great to read so many positive reviews.”

“That's what my son Joe said after the Lego party with his friends.
They all had great fun building models with the huge selection of Lego and so did I. They particularly enjoyed making their own Lego figure to take home.
Food was a good mix of treats and healthy options and dad had a cup of coffee too!
Many thanks”
