BROKEN fridges, sheets of asbestos and tyres are strewn over parts of the Sevenoaks countryside in a shocking scene of flytipping.

In the worst case, a truck load of car parts litters a byway off Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, making it barely passable for walkers.

The St Clere Estate, in Kemsing, has been particularly badly hit, with tyres, garden waste and a fridge dumped outside its field.

It costs thousands of pounds to clear.

Farmer Fred French, who manages the land, said illegally dumped rubbish happened on a weekly basis at the estates.

He said: "You would have thought being near Sevenoaks, which is quite a nice area, it would not be as bad for flytipping.
