For those willing to brave the rain there's a Sounds New event on at Canterbury's Whitefriars.
The "Bringing music to the heart of the city" event will include acts such as the Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra, Canterbury Christ Church University Big Band and Big Brand New! from Canterbury Youth Music Centre.

Also in the square will be their 'trumpet caravan' - full of fun, musical installations and movement for children and adults alike!
The free event is on this Saturday (May 5th 20120 from 10am-5pm.
For those willing to hop in the car - again with a brolly - Herne Bay's Classic Car and Motor Show is also on this Saturday.
There you'll find a selection of classic cars, bikes, army vehicles,film / TV cars, entertainment and lots more.
Once again it's free and runs from 10am-4.30pm.
But if you fancy staying indoors this Bank Holiday weekend there's a packed bill at The Marlowe Theatre - including The Marlowe Comedy Cabaret, Dave Lee - A Celebration and Midnight Tango.

“Good guide. With the weather being rubbish I've now got an idea of where to go this weekend. Not sure the Marlowe is quite my cup of tea but I like the 'sound' of the Sounds New festival.”
