JANE Budack, of Tonbridge, visits Underriver regularly.

She said: "I got married in Underriver and both of my children came to the nursery, which is a great nursery.

"I think Underriver is a lovely village, very friendly and pretty."

GEOFFREY Lusher, of Carter's Hill, has lived in the village all his life. The 63-year-old said: "I've been the longest one living in the village now. There's a nice pub here and you have got marvellous views and you've got One Tree Hill. On a very clear day you can see the ships going up and down the channel."

DEBBIE Mayger, 32, of Carter's Hill said: "We love it here. Everyone is very friendly and we are well looked after, especially by our neighbours.

"Lucia (her daughter) goes to the nursery here and she really enjoys it. Everyone takes a lot of pride in the village."

FRANK Scott is the landlord of the White Rock Inn, which he has been running for more than 20 years. He said: "We're more of a hamlet but we have still got the church which has a good following and the horticultural society and the village hall. There are fantastic walking routes and views."
