Good bar, good fish - but no bear garden

“ With any number of old signs, champagne bottles, mini statues etc I often can't be bothered to talk to friends at this bar. There is a good range of uncommon lagers (refreshing as most places have any number of different ales etc but the same drab lager) and the atmosphere is usually buzzing with a late 20s-30s crowd after work. The restaurant and beer garden (no bears as it says in the name of this business) are good too. My only slight complaint is that the array of benches, sofa chairs and seats make it hard for groups larger than say six to all sit together. Guess I'll have to cull a few friends. ”

Great Fish & Chips

“Sankeys new fish shop. Why did it take us so long to bring this tradition back to Tunbridge Wells. You can tell it is popular by the queues on Saturday mornings. It saves a trip to Hastings and the fish are just a fresh as they came off the boats that day. A haven for fish lovers. Their restaurant is also excellent quality.
