Ramsgate tipped as future property hotspot

RAMSGATE has been tipped as one of two UK seaside resorts to become a property hotspot for 2010.

The new high-speed trains, the possibility of a fast passenger ferry and cheap properties are the reasons website email4property.co.uk has highlighted the town.

The site says the average property price has dropped by 14 per cent from £169,885 in 2007 to £146,377 in 2009.

A representative said: “This has opened Ramsgate up to a whole new section of the market, with young families and first time buyers in a position to snap up the good value period properties lining the town's streets and crescents.”

The site also says the town’s good schools, primary and secondary, make it “an ideal place for families to set up a home”.
