Dover lottery jackpot claimed

A LOTTERY jackpot won with a ticket bought in the Dover area has been claimed.

The stake for the life-changing £3,786,303 prize is now being verified by the lottery operator Camelot.

Won on the Lotto draw on December 2, 2009, the huge sum was initially unclaimed - forcing lottery bosses to appeal for the winner to come forward.

The ticket holder had until 5.30pm on Monday May 31 to make their claim.

In the week the winning numbers 2, 19, 22, 25, 34 and 47 were drawn Peter Kay’s Animated All Stars topped the UK singles chart with The Official BBC Children In Need Medley, while Susan Boyle was at the top of the album chart with I Dreamed A Dream.

Closer to home Dover Athletic, were in action the night prior to the draw in an away match against Staines Town which resulted in a 0-0 draw.
