Could mighty Quinn deal with the bullies?
MIGHT already be time for a rethink at Ramsgate.
That's two defeats from two in a season that's all about reaching the play-offs.
It'd be daft to write off Rams' chances after a couple of games.
In the same way it gets on your wick to hear Sky Sports headlines going on about how Man City are in the top four of the Premiership, sorry, Barclays Premier League, after a 3-0 win over Liverpool.
It's two games, for gawd's sake.
But, two games or 22 games, Ramsgate do have a problem.
Chipstead are one of the worst teams in the league, no two ways about that.
But they put their foot in and were able to bully Jim Ward's side in the middle of the park.
And Rams had nobody to give it back.
They were just too pleasant a side to play against for this level of football, where you need to look after yourself.
Very quiet, nothing done in a hurry – a long way from the in-ya-face, old-school Rams Ward is after this season.
The answer could be to take Liam Quinn out of the back three and move him into midfield again.
He's got some bite about his game and doesn't take any prisoners when there's a challenge to be won.
Mind you, he'll have a one-game ban coming up in a fortnight, sent off for a second yellow card right at the end of 11-and-a-half minutes' injury-time.
Yep, referee Jackson really did add on that much time. Some watch he must have.
The one bright spark for Ramsgate was Mitchell Sherwood who had a decent game down the right. He went on a number of lively runs up the flank and delivered two or three cracking crosses – a centre-forward's dream – which really deserved a finish.
When you see the quality coming in from one flank, it makes you wonder whether Rams should use Sherwood as an out-and-out winger, go 4-4-2 and get Dan Dolton and that magic left foot of his in shape as quickly as possible to offer the same service on the other side of the park.
If Dolton's some way off fitness, then maybe even Paul Axon could do a bit of damage bombing up the left and cutting back in on his right foot.
Chipstead were shown eight yellow cards – two for Louis Hollingsworth meant a red late in the second half.
With all the injury-time it gave Rams 20 minutes to have a go against 10 men, before Quinn's red evened up the numbers.
They went close to cancelling out Ray Freeman's 42nd-minute opener but Axon's effort from a James Gregory pull-back was blocked on the line, with the goalie nowhere.
The first half was pretty poor.
Dan Moody put a free shot over for Chips when he really should have scored and Peter Martin hit the bar.
Warren Schulz's diving header from a clever Gregory free-kick flashed wide but that was as good as it got for Rams who fell behind just before the break.
The hosts appealed for a foul as Dominic O'Shea shook off Ollie Gray and crossed to the far post for Freeman to finish.
Conor Quinn made a couple of smart saves to deny Chips at close range in the second half as the visitors went for more goals.
Ramsgate: C Quinn, Gray, Wheatley, Beech, L Quinn, Laslett, Sherwood, Schulz (Axon 82), Lovell (Lockyer 88), Tsangarides (Thomas 68), Gregory. Subs not used: Groombridge, Winnett.
