We have all been warned that 2009 will be a tough year financially and we know that many community groups will be struggling to raise funds and that is why Courier Media Group is so delighted that AXA PPP healthcare have again agreed to sponsor HEART OF THE COMMUNITY for the sixth year.

1 x £50 voucher for EVERY short listed project that does not win a cash award.

Again this year AXA PPP healthcare have generously agreed to give every project that is shortlisted (but does not win a cash award) a £50 voucher which can be used to help their project. Plus the AXA HEART AWARD of £500 will be given to the project that does not receive the most votes but has entered into the spirit and fun of our HEART OF THE COMMUNITY campaign.

Closing date for all entries is noon on Monday, April 6, 2009. There are four £500 awards, four £1000 awards, three £2000 awards. There will be one £500 AXA Heart Award. Each short listed project that does not receive a cash prize will receive a £50 voucher to be used towards their project or to boost project funds. Projects will be shortlisted and put into a prize category by the panel of judges. Prizes will go to projects that receive the most votes once counted after the closing date of Monday, May 18, 2009. Entries cannot be accepted from main stream schools or previously entered winning schools but past winners may apply with a new project. Winners will be notified by telephone and receive confirmation by post. Winners will be invited to the Heart of the Community Awards Dinner to receive their cheques and awards which will take place at Salomons on Thursday, June 11, 2009.
