Arrest made after Samurai swoop
Police arrested a 41-year-old Edenbridge man at an address in Surrey on Wednesday in connection with the assault, which took place on Saturday January 23.
The man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police swooped on an address in Speedwell Close at around 6.10pm at the weekend, and later confirmed the discovery of the man with a martial arts weapon.
Officers said the man with the sword hit a male occupant on the forehead, resulting in a bruise.
The incident caused fear among many residents including elderly Edna Moughlin from Harrow Close who said she found it "worrying".
She added: "I am registered disabled and after dark I won't even open the door to anybody unless I know someone is coming round. I didn't know what was wrong, but it must have been something they were really worried about to send so many."
SAMURAI: Speedwell Close, on the Spittals Cross estate in Edenbridge, where there was a samurai sword attack at the weekend AH2701106/1
