OAP in hospital after Westgate crash

​AN ELDERLY woman was airlifted to a London hospital after she was seriously injured in a road traffic accident in Westgate.

The woman, in her 80s was hit by a Rover car at 11.20am at the junction of Canterbury and Minster Road.

A police spokesman said: “Her injuries are believed to be life threatening.”

The woman suffered leg and abdominal injuries and was flown by Kent Air Ambulance to hospital in London .

The top of Minster Road and Linksfield Road were closed while police investigate d the scene.
