Former cop Ivan Esack charged with murder of wife in Ashford
FORMER Kent Police detective Ivan Esack has this evening been charged with murder after his wife Natalie Esack was stabbed to death in Ashford.
The 38-year-old, who resigned from the force two years ago, is accused of killing the 33-year-old hairdresser at her High Street salon shortly after 9am yesterday.
Esack was arrested at his Rosewood Avenue home around an hour after police were called to the scene of the stabbing and within the last hour Kent Police confirmed that he has now been charged with murder.
The decision to charge Esack, who is understood to have been estranged from his dead wife, followed a post mortem examination this afternoon which showed Mrs Esack died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
