Division 1

Westgate v Broadstairs A

CHAMPIONS Westgate rang the changes and it worked for them with the bat as they rattled up 124.

After losing a cheap wicket Nick Baxter (29) and Richie Holden (27) added 57 for the second. Sam Winsor picked up 3-27 for Broadstairs.

Nick Sandwell and Holden both bowled tidy spells and an early run out set Broadstairs back.

James Bond top scored with 26 but his side were all out for 59.

Sandwich v Old Harts

DAN EVANS (2-14) bowled a top-class spell as Sandwich restricted Hartsdonians to 112-5, Curtis Jordan (22) and Mike Turner (31*) coming to the rescue after two early run-outs.

Craig Snell and Rhys Davies retired as Sandwich got off to a flier, adding 66 for the first wicket before Hartsdonians got back in the game thanks to Josh Smith (3-30).

But Snell (29*) and Davies (36*) returned to the crease, Davies hitting six from the penultimate ball to clinch victory.

Broadstairs v Old Harts A

NEIL BRENNAN (42) was man-of-the-match for Broadstairs, putting on 52 for the first wicket alongside Jake Benfield (24), despite which the home side were all out for 121.

Old Boys had an opening stand of 50 as Kane Smith and Bob Guild were assisted by some wayward bowling.

But Liam Narraway (2-19) and Benfield (also 2-19) wrapped up the reply with just 90 on the board.

Westgate A v Sturry

STURRY'S Tom and Chris Hammond ran well early on but both were out in quick succession with 54 on the board, but this inspired their side to 143-3.

The Westgate reply started slowly and with skipper Alan Winch out early a collapse looked on the cards.

But 76 was added for the second wicket as Zane Lagardien (39) and Sid Patel (42) hit out, however they failed to score the run off the last ball that would have sealed victory.

Division 2

Sandwich A v St Nicholas

THE only Division 2 game of the week ended in an emphatic win for Sandwich.

Stuart Smith (44) was the backbone of the innings as his side reached 105-5, David Cain (3-31) the pick of the Nic bowlers.

Connor Summers (2-13) led the way as the away side were skittled out for just 38.

Division 3

Dairies v Broadstairs C

NICK KNIGHT (50) received little support as Dairies were all out for just 86.

In reply Terry Bond (37*) produced a belligerent knock.

But after Chris Gibbs took 2-38 it needed a steady knock of 33 not out from Dave Parker to see his team to 108-4.

Goodnestone v Sandwich C

THE home side could only muster five players and it cost them the game in a close finish.

Andy Brown (32) helped them to 83 all out, Tony Poynder (2-18) the pick of the Sandwich bowlers. John Tudor (29*) got the C-siders out of jail as they secured victory from the final ball, reaching 86-4.

Division 4

Broadstairs D v Minster A

GEORGE COOK took 2-19 as Minster struggled to 72 all out, only Mark Fox (20) offering any resistance.

A run-out in the first over of the Broadstairs reply gave Minster some hope, but Broadstairs were otherwise faultless.

Matt Frewin (27*) and George Cook (25) helped them to 78-1.

Northdown v Westgate B

NORTHDOWN found runs hard to come by and were restricted to 75-4, Paul Crow (28) their leading scorer.

At 49-2 Westgate were on top, but an over later in trouble at 53-5 as David Brear (3-20) struck.

Andy Seal (23*) played a masterful innings, guiding his team home with a ball to spare as they reached 78-5.

Division 5

Dumpton v Nelson A

DUMPTON saw out their 12 overs to post a creditable 83 all out, Joshua Tullett (17) top scoring.

Nelson's reply started poorly before Steve Hopper (24*) and Steve Hurrell (25*) saw them home in the 10th.

Dumpton gave away 32 extras as Nelson totalled 85-1.

Old Hartsdonians D v Old Hartsdonians B

IN THE first of two games played this week, Old Harts B beat Old Harts D by six runs.

Batting first the D-siders posted 91-5 thanks largely to Russell Morrell (30) and David Ledingham (39).

Martin Mackie picked up 2-27 for the B team.

He then hit an unbeaten 25 as his side cruised to 97-3.

Corinthians A v Old Hartsdonians B

OLD HARTS B compiled a huge 147 against Corinthians with Andrew West (50*) and Steve Bing (31) putting on 67 for the first wicket.

When Corinthians batted a wicket in the first over set the tone for the innings.

Howard Ledingham (1-11) and Todd Jordan (also 1-11) helped rattle out the home for just 64.
