Roman Baths under Waterstone's in Canterbury city centre
She was given a tour of Canterbury by city guide Andrea Russo (corr) whose group, Canterbury Tourist Guides, celebrates a re-brand next week.
He showed her tiles on a shop in the Buttermarket which were used to replace timber when brick was introduced in 1750.
They were known as mathematical tiles because they had to be put in the correct order to be in keeping with neighbouring buildings.
Signor Russo also took Cllr Parry to the St Margaret's Street Waterstone's, home to an ancient public bath in the basement.
She will also be attending the launch of the Canterbury Tourist Guides group – formerly known as The Canterbury Guild of Guides - at Westgate Hall on Monday (March 2) at 6.30pm.
