A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was among four people arrested on suspicion of burglary in Herne Bay.

An off-duty police officer spotted two youths, aged 15 and 17, with a television in Station Road on Thursday afternoon and alerted colleagues, who arrested the pair. Police had been investigating the theft of a television from a house in Kings Road.

A 21-year-old man and the boy were also arrested on a platform in Herne Bay train station.

All four are from Margate and are awaiting police interview.
