Committee vice chairman Jo Cartledge said: "It was a fantastic day. Quite a lot of people joined in the Zumba and everyone was saying how great it was and how we should do it more often.
"There was real community spirit with everyone there from babies to the oldest person who was 92. We wanted to cater for the whole range of age groups.
"Residents all put some money in and we gave everyone a Jubilee china mug because it is nice for them to have something to keep. We are now going to keep the committee open and do things like sports events."
Residents in Capel also pulled out all the stops with entertainment on the green, a Jubilee market in the village hall and a party at Bracknell House residential home.
