Young and old entertained
MORE than 400 people joined in a Jubilee party hosted in Aylesham on Sunday.
From babies to the oldest party-goer, aged 92, revellers enjoyed face-painting, food, music from Nonington singer Charlie, and a reggae band and Zumba.
Other fun activities included balloon modelling, a horse and cart and children's games.
Organised by the Burgess Road Events Committee and funded by Aylesham Parish Council and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the party was hailed a massive success.

Committee vice chairman Jo Cartledge said: "It was a fantastic day. Quite a lot of people joined in the Zumba and everyone was saying how great it was and how we should do it more often.
"There was real community spirit with everyone there from babies to the oldest person who was 92. We wanted to cater for the whole range of age groups.
"Residents all put some money in and we gave everyone a Jubilee china mug because it is nice for them to have something to keep. We are now going to keep the committee open and do things like sports events."
Residents in Capel also pulled out all the stops with entertainment on the green, a Jubilee market in the village hall and a party at Bracknell House residential home.
