SCOTT WOOLFORD hopes to silence critics who think he's mad for taking on former British champion Young Mutley tonight (Friday).

Mutley starts favourite in Nottingham but The Gent knows victory over one of the biggest domestic names of recent years would move his career on to another level.

There were easier fights out there but the Ramsgate welterweight is determined to prove himself.

He said: "A lot of people have undermined me and said they can't see why I've taken the fight but those I care about and the people who see me training day in, day out have faith in me and as long as you believe in yourself, that's all that matters."
