A NEW branch of 1230 The Women's Company (TWC) is being unveiled next year in Southborough. It is being launched by Karen Wilkinson and Mandy Shepherd – who already run a group which meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Thai Moom, in Kings Hill.

"We are really excited about launching a new group of 1230 TWC," said Mandy. "It will be held at the Hand and Sceptre in Southborough on the fourth Wednesday of each month – with the launch on January 28."

1230 TWC is a membership organisation, exclusively for business women.

"It is a vibrant mix of women from all types of business – it is not unusual to see such diversity as a reflexologist sitting next to a solicitor, sitting next to a style coach, sitting next to a bank manager," says Mandy.

Karen runs a domestic cleaning and ironing business, while Mandy's "day job" is as a hypnotherapist and she runs a practice in Teston.

"1230 works very well. We use and recommend each other's services, as well as providing advice, support and friendship," said Mandy.

"But most of all, we are there to make money and grow our businesses and it is an ideal environment for some really good networking to take place."

She added: "We warmly welcome new visitors and they will find that it is a very friendly and non-threatening way to meet like-minded women who can assist in the launch of a business or the growth of an existing one.

"On joining you can attend other 1230 meetings as well."
