​POLICE are hunting a gunman after a woman was shot in Eastchurch.

Armed officers were called to Bramley Way at 4.50pm yesterday.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was found with a gun shot wound to her leg.

She was taken to hospital but her injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Officers were still at the property this afternoon and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
