DOVER Athletic are itching for a win in Saturday's FA Trophy tie at Havant and Waterlooville that will take them into the second round proper and avenge one of their most controversial results of this season so far.

Highly contentious refereeing decisions and what Whites fans saw as outrageous gamesmanship from the home side were factors in Dover's 2-1 defeat at Northleigh Park in September.

That was also Athletic's first defeat of the season - another reason why supporters will be urging their team the put the record straight.

With a free week ahead of the cup tie, manager Andy Hessenthaler will hope that a few more of his stars get over their knocks and come back into the contention.

Teenage Gillingham defender Tom Wynter limped off the the goalless draw at Staines last midweek, but has signed an extension to his loan stay at Crabble and could be included.

Some places are still available on the supporters coach to Havant which leaves Crabble on 10am.

The cost is £8 for supporters club members and £10 for any other adults with under 16s half price, if accompanied by an adult.
