TUNBRIDGE Wells under 16 reached the Causeway Steel Challenge Cup Final at the weekend, beating Dartford 2-0 at Princes Park and halting a lengthy unbeaten spell for Darts, who were frustrated by a disciplined Wells side.

Goals either side of half-time from Abbas Mwambakale and Mushed Miah secured the win, with much hard work from under 16 coach Darrell Cousins paying off.

The Wells now wait to learn who their opponents will be in the final, to be played at Faversham Town FC on March 14, after the other semi-final between Dover Athletic and Ashford Borough was postponed.

Two of the under-16 squad – Ryan Waterman and Ben Williamson – have already signed first team forms with the club.
