The new shop, which has opened on part of the former Marks and Spencer site, has created 14 new jobs, with staff recruited from the local area.

Store manager Maria Light said: "We've recruited a great team of people and I'm looking forward to working with my new staff.

"We are delighted to be opening a Tesco Express store in Biggin Hill and look forward to playing an active role in the local community."
