HERNE Bay's dreams of a league and cup treble were ended by an extra-time 3-2 Kent Senior Trophy defeat away at Greenwich Borough on Saturday.

The Winch's Field side were 2-0 up at half-time after goals from Rob Lawrence, 13 minutes, and Darren Marsden, 38, had put them in the driving seat.

But two second half goals from Danny Hunt, on 72 minutes and with a penalty on 90, forced extra-time.

Here Kennickson Jarret-Elliott struck three minutes in to complete a remarkable Greenwich recovery.

Bay host Faversham Town on Wednesday in a League Cup semi-final first leg and then return to Kent League action on Saturday when they entertain Sevenoaks Town.
