DISTRAUGHT friends of a teenager killed in a motorbike accident near Sandwich have set up a memorial website page.

Nick Twyman, also known as Nick Walton, died in the accident in Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough on Saturday at around 9.15pm.

Police closed the road off for 12 hours while forensic officers carried out investigations.

Friends from Sandwich Technology School and Walmer Science College have left messages on the Facebook site to the tragic teenager. One message says: "We all love Nick so lets see if we can all give him one of the best send offs ever."

Police have informed the youngster's family.

Anyone who has information about the accident is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.

    “Nick was a loverly lad i got on with him so well he was like a brother to me always looking out for me wen i was in trouble or i had problems with boys lol but the one thing i loved about nick was he had a heart of gold one of a kind he was i spoke to him all the time on msn and facebook and at cadets wen we were waiting 4 the others to arrive we were always the first there i could not belive it wen i foung out i love nick and even know i have pictures up on my wall of him nd the funearal was so fantastic he did have the best send of ever i am going to miss him so much but even though he is gone i know he will be looking down on me and protecting me till the end of my life . R.I.P NICK TWYMAN XXXXXX”
