THE Shim's Way Jujitsu Club based in Whitfield, proudly hosted a four hour weapons session with Master Phil Bradley.

Phil, who was trained in Japan, put members of the Shim's Way Jujitsu, and Dover and Lydd Karate Club's through their paces, learning elements of Traditional Okonawan weapons including the six foot Bo Staff, Nunchuku, Tonfa, and Sai.

More than 30 students took part, learning elements of the traditional katas which includes attack and defence against the various weapons.

Sensei Steve Pinfold, Chief Instructor of Shim's Way Jujitsu Club, said: "It was a great opportunity to train with Master Bradley and we hope to continue with our weapons training in the future.

"Training with the Dover and Lydd clubs also adds to the enjoyment and we hope to continue this joint training partnership."
