Sevenoaks Town Reserves: 4

Deal Reserves: 2

JOE Creasey returned after a three-week lay-off to a reserve side and scored a hat-trick of quality, winning the team three points.

Creasey slotted in behind strikers Baffour Kadwa and Anthony Pace and for 35 minutes, Greatness Park saw some great attacking football as the three lads pulled Deal's defence all over the place.

Creasey opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a turn inside the box and shot that flashed past the keeper. He scored his second when, just two minutes later, Kadwa picked him out with a great pass and the striker rolled the ball under the advancing keeper.

Town made it three when Pace got on the end of a great through-ball from Creasey to slot home as Town became rampant. Chances fell to Kawda, Pace, and Creasey, but the keeper kept Deal in the game.

After 35 minutes, Deal got themselves back in the game with a low shot which went through a pack of players and past Town keeper Adam Porter.

Deal continued to push hard until half-time and showed they were not going to lie down.

They came out in the second half and their persistence was rewarded with a penalty dispatched past Porter with ease.

Town changed their shape, returning to a 4-4-2 formation, replacing Pace and the injured Phillips with Aaron Scanlon, and Albie Barton on the hour.

With tackles going in strongly on both sides, Scanlan was yellow-carded on 68 minutes, and three minutes later he was in the dressing room after a high tackle which deserved a red on its own.

Town worked well as a unit with 10 men, defending with heart and looking to shut down and keep their lead.

Deal were trying for an equaliser as Town found space and Joe Creasey completed his hat-trick with a super strike across the goal into the far corner, to the joy of all Town's players and staff.

With Oli Miles and Joivan Wade due back from injury this weekend, it was a good three points, putting Town third in the league with all to play for.

Squad: Adam Porter, Joseph Wood, Rob Littlejohn (Shaun Blyth), Stuart Clarke, Malik Fofana, John Phillips (Albie Barton), Micky Smith (capt), Jack O'Conner, Joe Creasey, Baffour Kadwa, Antony Pace (Aaron Scanlon). Subs unused: Steve Cosby, Matt Baddley.

Last night (Wednesday), Sevenoaks Town Reserves were due to meet Ide Hill in round three of the Charity Cup.
