“I once tricked my wife into thinking I had forgotten her birthday. Part of the 'trick' was telling her I needed her to return to my office in the evening as I needed some help with some work. I then gave her 'treats' as I had arranged as a surprise for one of the rooms to be turned into a dining room with a sit down meal with a handful of her closest friends and family who she was not expecting to see. There were more tricks as I also arranged for a magician to come to do some close magic tricks at the table.”

“I once gave trick sweets (the type that turn your mouth purple for days afterwards!) to yobs who hammered on my door despite a notice asking for peace for my invalid wife.
I delighted in seeing one of them several days later, still with traces of colour on his lips!

my best one was when I sent my friend round to my sister they were going out that evening, he went round with his horse & carrige, it was funny to see the looks on their face when he turn up rather than the taxi.”
