Former Thanet council leader Sandy Ezekiel charged with fraud
Former Thanet council leader Sandy Ezekiel has been charged with fraud and misconduct in a public office.
Councillor Ezekiel, real name Maurice, who represents Cliftonville East, was charged today by Kent Police.

Ezekiel, 58, of Crow Hill, Broadstairs, will appear at Maidstone Magistrates Court accused of misconduct in a public office and fraud by abuse of position.
Another man, Phillip Emmanuel of Laleham Gardens, Margate, was charged in connection with the same allegations.

He has been charged with aiding and abetting fraud by abuse of position and both men are due to appear in court on May8.
Ken Goss, Senior Crown Prosecutor with the CPS South East Complex Casework Unit, said: "I have today advised Kent Police to charge two men in relation to fraud and misconduct in a public office.
"It is alleged one of the men improperly used privileged Thanet District Council information in relation to the purchase of two properties.
"This decision was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."
