TWO TEACHERS have run more than 13 miles to raise money for the Offham school they work in.

Glen Reed and Julie Yeomans, pictured, took part in the Children's Mutual Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon on behalf of The Quest School, which caters for autistic children.

Miss Yeomans hopes to collect around £250 from her sponsors.

She said: "Following colleague persuasion and a little friendly rivalry among the staff at school, I decided to run as a personal challenge.

"I found the race really tough in places, but the supporters on the way kept my spirits high."

Mr Reed, who raised more than £130, said: "I decided to run to raise money for the children at school and to take up a challenge."

In total, more than £1,100 has been raised for the children at the Church Road school.
