Ramsgate postman off to British Beard and Moustache Championship
A POSTMAN hopes his mammoth tash will be a cut above the rest when he represents Thanet at the British Beard and Moustache Championships.
Adrian Mehlin, 42, of St Luke's Avenue in Ramsgate, believes his six-inch lip rug will rollover the competition during the Brighton event on Thursday, September 13.

He kept the hairy contender after growing it for a laugh at the start of this year.
He said: "Everyone loves it. Everyone says it's great. Before I was just a normal bloke on the street, now total strangers stop me."

Adrian has a daily routine of washing his moustache with shower gel before applying Baldy's moustache wax and a finishing coat of Foad Wax.
Adrian says he wants to win to bring a bit of good press to Thanet when he competes in the English moustache category.
But one person who is not tickled pink by Adrian's tash is his teacher wife Sorrel Mehlin, 41.
Adrian said: "I would like to says she is my biggest supporter but she isn't. When people come up to me in the street her response is 'you don't have to look at it all day'."
The British Beard and Moustache Championships will take place at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, on September 15.
It is the first time the event has run since 2007.
Contestants will parade their facial phenomena around Brighton before presenting them to the judges.
Adrian plans to wear a kilt to help win over the crowd.
There are 12 categories, including best handlebar moustache, best natural full beard and best natural goatee.
There is even a category for fake beards worn by women.
An English moustache is described by organisers as slender and long with no cheek growth.
