Has Whitstable got talent? Of course it has - in spades and bucketsful, being a mecca for arty, creative types including the likes of Harry Hill and David Essex who choose to bed down with us ordinary folk among the oysters.

We've got so many professional artists and artistes here, you can hardly walk along our seafront without rubbing shoulders with the great and glamorous. My weak knees have never recovered since passing film star Bill Nighy with not six inches separating us on the prom TWICE in one afternoon last year... only a few yards from TV actor Fay Ripley's seafront home.

But is there HIDDEN talent in Whitstable yet to be uncovered? Only time and Whitstable Castle's intensive investigation will tell.

The people at the Castle are inviting wannabes to strut their stuff in front of judges on Monday 23rd July. There will be prizes for winners in age categories 5-11, 12-17, and 18 & over.
