Sun shines on festival finale
AFTER two weeks dodging wet and unpredictable weather, the sun finally shone on the closing event of the Eden Valley Summer Festival.
The free concert at Stangrove Park was held by Kent Music and sponsored by the Great Stone Bridge Trust and the Edenbridge Music and Arts Trust.
Children played and the adults tapped their toes as Connie and Nigel Garrard, and youth group the Fuggles sang numbers by Abba, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N Roses, Frank Sinatra, and Kate Bush.
The Forge Singers, fresh from festival opener 'A right royal celebration', joined in from the audience with a rendition of 'New York, New York' as the closing number.
