​FAVERSHAM Town went 13 points clear the top of the Kent League with a 2-1 win over one of their closest rivals, Hythe Town.

Town took the lead through skipper Tom Hickman but Hythe levelled when Martin Chandler’s long cross went straight in.

Faversham won it in the second half when sub and man-of-the-match Richard Sinden scored after 52 minutes.
