Solid point for Invicta
INVICTA should in no way be disappointed with their gusty goalless draw in Saturday's top of the table Ryman One South clash with Worthing at the Buzzlines.
Referee Ian Bentley is one of the better officials at this level, but sadly his so-called assistants are nowhere like as competent.
Mr Bentley at least lets his linesmen have a say but how James Everitt could have been offside when he got the ball in the net in the first half only the man in the black on the right knew what was wrong with that.
Worthing are not bad of course and Folkestone needed two outstanding saves from the brilliant Jack Delo to keep scores level at half-time.
If anything Invicta looked the more likely winners in the second half when the Rebels were incredibly lucky to finish with 11 men on the park.
But four points from two very difficult looking games in four days will do for most Folkestone fans whose side remain level at the top with their visitors whose goal difference is now only one better.
