Soggy Sunday wrecks football fixtures (again)
ANOTHER miserable Sunday for football. The entire Medway Messenger League programme was called off and only four matches survived in the Medway News Youth League. And two of those took place on Saturday!
Start looking out for midweek fixtures, double headers and Saturday games since that's the only way officials will fit everything in before the scheduled end of seasons.
The surviving Youth League matches were:
Under 9 Division 1
Strood United 2 Oak Athletic 5
Strood United 2 Oak Athletic 3
Under 10 Division 2
Rainham Kenilworth 2 Spartac 4 (played Saturday)
Rainham Kenilworth 7 Spartac 0 (played Saturday)
Under 13 Division 3
Strood 0 Walderslade 5 (played Saturday)
Under 16 Division 1
Rainham Eagles 0 Thamesview Rangers 4

“It would be nice to see yhe mnyl.org website updated at the same time as the results were published. There are still no results from the 28/2.”

“All players are contracted till 31 May, so why should the season HAVE to finish so early??? As so many games are cancelled due to poor pitches the council should leave the goals up for another month at least.”
