Snow turns Thanet white

PARTS of Thanet turned white overnight, following heavy snowfall.

A blanket of snow turned parts of the district into a winter wonderland, with as much as three inches falling in some areas.

Forecasters have predicted patchy snow showers, freezing temperatures for the rest of the day (Monday), as well as wintry showers, sleat and snow again overnight.

A light dusting of snow also fell over Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay.
