Shocking Sevenoaks humbled

Beckenham Town: 4

HERO TO ZERO: Sevenoaks keeper Sean Funnell gathers the ball in the first half. After the break he would be at fault for Beckenham's equalising goal
SIMON Jones has told his team to stop believing all the hype and get back to basics in their next two games.
Sevenoaks Town were outclassed by Beckenham Town at Greatness Park on Tuesday night and suffered their first defeat since October 24.
And Jones, despite seeing his side take an early lead, was hugely critical of his players at the end of the game.
"We were shocking from start to finish," Jones said. "We never got going and should be ashamed of ourselves. The problem is the players are getting above their station and thinking they are superstars when they are nowhere near it. We played like a group of strangers.
"Beckenham played well, but we made it easy for them. We've just got to put this defeat behind us and move on."
Sevenoaks had the dream start when they opened the scoring after just two minutes. Skipper Danny Ward crossed from the right and Tony Atkins headed home at the near post.
Sadly, that was as good as it got for the hosts. In the opening 10 minutes they played some lovely stuff, but didn't create a thing and, slowly but surely it all began to unravel.
Beckenham took charge with central-midfielders George Belchamber and Nick Curran controlling the game. The latter struck the post with a superb effort, while Belchamber peppered the Sevenoaks goal with at least half-a-dozen long distance strikes.
The hosts had keeper Sean Funnell to thank for being ahead at the break as he pulled off a string of fine saves, the best of which denied Danny Lawson when he looked destined to score.
Sevenoaks rarely threatened. Billy Shinners came closest, but he headed over a Joe Minter corner on 37 minutes.
Despite being laid into at the break, Sevenoaks didn't improve in the second-half and the visitors ran away with the game.
Anthony Weir, aka Beaver, was chief destroyer with a double, although the hosts handed Beckenham three of their goals.
Funnell was to blame for the first when he came rushing out of his goal, leaving Weir with a simple finish on 49 minutes.
Sevenoaks nearly went back in front five minutes later, but Nick Blue tipped over Minter's free-kick. From the ensuing corner Blue caught the ball, launched it long and three-on-three, Beckenham ripped the hosts apart. Gary Gorman played in Weir whose shot deflected off Danny Twin into his own goal.
Another slip let in Weir again on 66 minutes, before Beckenham rounded off the scoring late-on when Perry Belchamber netted after fine play from Weir.
Sevenoaks travel to Deal once more in the Kent Senior Trophy on Saturday, before travelling down to Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday night for the big West Kent derby.
