THIS collie cross – named Collywobbles – is looking for a new home in Faversham.

The 12-year-old, pictured with kennel worker Kayleigh Rose, was found a few weeks ago by Swale Council's stray dogs' team, but no one has come forward to claim him.

The dog, which was found in Sheerness, has been staying at Jasmil Kennels in Lower Halstow, where he has been treated for a skin condition and is now looking forward to finding a new, loving owner.

Swale's animal control officer Tim Oxley said: "He is a nice-natured dog, still very active, but also happy to spend time having a snooze."

He has been neutered and will be microchipped. He will also have his first course of vaccinations.

Tim added: "Swale Council's policy is to ensure that all dogs suitable for re-homing are given every chance to find a new family to live with."

Call the kennels on 01795 842466. His new owners will be asked simply to make a donation towards his upkeep over the past few weeks.

If you find a stray dog call Swale Council on 01795 417850 or 07795 237479 out of office hours.
