“Grew up in Newington, Ramsgate. Went to Clarendon House and left in 1968, since then have lived in London, Strood, Devon and now Essex. Still have family connections in Thanet so visit now and then, miss the harbour at Ramsgate and walks along the white cliffs and the nature reserve at Pegwell Bay.”

“I left Ramsgate at aged 22 in 1993 to live in Vancouver by myself. 16 years later I'm still here, married, with a young daughter. I miss seeing my friends and family, and watching their children grow-up, but the standard of living in Canada is much better then I would have experienced in England.”

“I grew up in Canterbury and have an interest in St Peters, although I have never lived there, because my maternal grandmother, J E Brenchley, came from there. Our family connection goes back over 200 years and I still have relations living there. I am always interested in anything related to St Peters.”

“I left Thanet in 1973 and moved to beautiful British Columbia to marry my husband. We have a wonderful life with two fine boys. We visit Thanet often and miss the wonderful villages and countryside - and of course my fantastic sisters that live in Kent.”
