Mrs Patel, 71, contacted the Thanet Times looking for help to find her the perfect partner to play Scrabble with.

Mrs Patel moved from Essex to Broadstairs a year ago and writes: "I wish you would carry a column on the line of 'leisure activities private' or similar. I myself am looking for a partner to play Scrabble with. However, none of your columns seems to have a suitable heading."

A Scrabble player for around 30 years, Mrs Patel is looking for someone to engage in a game or two with her on a regular basis.

Mrs Patel has never competed in any Scrabble competitions and has always played for fun.

She said: "I like a good game, and it does take some time to play. Of course it is nice to win, but there is also an element of luck involved when it comes to which letters you draw."

Mrs Patel's perfect partner should be a fun-loving wordsmith who knows their lexicon and enjoys some healthy competition. She added: "I am looking for someone who doesn't take it too seriously, but enjoys the fun of the game."

Could you be Ottilie's perfect partner? If you're interested in playing Scrabble with Ottilie, e-mail laura.archer@KRNmedia.co.uk or call 01843 578174.
