FOLKESTONE maintained their unbeaten away record with a fourth league win on the bounce as a goal in each half by James 'Ratty' Everitt earned them a 2-1 win over much-improved Corinthian Casuals at Tolworth on Saturday.

Everett opened the scoring after only a matter of seconds and Invicta still led 1-0 at the break after keeper Jack Delo saved a 26th minute penalty from Scott Corbett after Delo himself had collided heavily with an inrushing home forward.

Everett restored Folkestone's lead 12 minutes into the second half after being found in space to the left of goal by the outstanding Jimmy Jackson.

Casuals pulled one goal back through defender Yogi Matwali midway thought the second period but thanks to Delo and their excellent defence Folkestone held on for the three points.

They remain level with Division One leaders Worthing but second on goal difference with the pair set to meet later this month at Cheriton Road.

After being without a game on two of the previous four Saturdays, yersterday's game at St George's was the first of a frightening nine games in 29 days for Invicta's wafer-thin squad.

Full report in this week's Folkestone Herald on Thursday.
