Ramsgate landlady wants to call time on foul-mouthed pub parrot
A FOUL-MOUTHED pub parrot is ruffling a few feathers with his repertoire of rude words.
The 20-month-old African Grey has a penchant for swearing and Ramsgate's The Derby Arms landlady Susan Littlechild is perplexed at where he learnt it.

She said: "I never taught him to say the things he says. Suddenly, out of the blue he just utters the words with remarkable clarity."
Mrs Littlechild says she may have to take drastic measures to stop the cheeky beaky from insulting her customers.

She added: "People come in here and he will just blurt out **** off, ****** or *****! I considered covering the cage but that doesn't stop him. He doesn't like going upstairs he likes living in the bar. The more people in the pub the louder he gets."
The smart parrot has also managed to string a sentence or two together but is not smart enough to realise he is insulting himself. She added: "He says Derby is a ****** which makes me laugh."
He has this uncanny knack of saying things at the wrong time, she added: "If a punter tells Derby to shut up he just tells them to **** off.
"I suspect he learnt the words from a regular – who swears at Derby and Derby copies them back."
Susan says the parrot has become the pub's mascot.
