Pupils lend an ear in French lessons
PUPILS at Angley School have brought a continental twist to Cranbrook.
As part of a new initiative, students in Year 9, with the support of language teacher Linda Chandler, have piloted a new leadership programme in modern foreign languages.
On Friday the Angley students spent an afternoon helping pupils at Cranbrook Primary School to brush up on their French.
The children from Years 2 and 4 were eager to learn as they took part in games and activities to help their language development.

Nick Burchell, assistant principal at Angley, said: "Fifteen students have developed both their language skills and grown in self-confidence through leading and supporting younger students within lessons in French.
"They have thrived in the classroom environment by developing younger students' enthusiasm and language abilities."
Students are already planning a language festival in the first weeks of July to give visitors a taste of European culture.
